In editing mode in Word online, you will see only one page at a time as a default setting. This article takes you through how to view page breaks in Word online. It looks at both Word online and the desktop version.
How to see page breaks in Word Online
Viewing page breaks in a Word Online document is not as complicated as it sounds. As a default feature, all the pages in Word online are, in a way, merged while viewing.
There is no clear distinction between the pages. So, the first step towards removing a page break is to view all the page ends. Here is how it is done.

- Locate and open the Word online document that you would like to edit.
- Click on View in the top ribbon of the document
- Select Page Ends
After selecting Page Ends, you can scroll through the document and ensure you have page end demarcations.
Page Breaks are nothing but extra pages added to the document to separate specific sections. To add a page break, you will need to go to Insert and > click on Page Break.

Page breaks will be visible when they are inserted into the document.
View page break by changing document view
You can have an overview of the pages in your document by changing the view. Here are the steps you can follow.

- Click on View in the top ribbon of the document.
- Select Reading View.
It will take a few seconds for the screen to change. The top ribbon of the document will disappear, and you can scroll through it freely.
