There are two ways to indent a paragraph: the first line or the second. This section looks at how to indent a line in Word online.
1. Scroll through the document and go to the paragraph you would like to format.
2. Click on the first word of the paragraph to move the cursor there.

3. Go to Layout in the top ribbon of the document. You will see the paragraph section.
4. Click on the outward-facing arrow at the bottom right. See the screenshot above for your reference. You will see a popup menu with paragraph formatting options, as shown in the screenshot below.

5. Go to the section titled Indentation. Click on the arrow next to Special for a dropdown menu.
6. Select the First line option as shown in the screenshot above.
7. In the section titled, you can specify the indentation size. Click on OK to save and apply changes. You can see below the indent has been applied successfully.
